Basis der Bewertungen sind die jeweils Fonds Advice GmbH vorliegenden wesentlichen Anlegerinformationen, Verkaufsprospekte, Jahresberichte bzw. Halbjahresberichte, Factsheets, Internet-Informationen der Verwaltungsgesellschaft sowie die Auswertung weiterer Informationen. Die Bewertungsstufen des Information-Rating sind: 1 (beste Bewertungsstufe), 1-, 2+, 2, 2-, 3+, 3, 3-, 4, kein Rating (niedrigste Bewertungsstufe) und keine Daten. Information-Rating bewertet ausschließlich die Transparenz von Fonds. Das Information-Rating liefert eine Einschätzung darüber, wie transparent und zutreffend eine Investmentgesellschaft über einen Investmentfonds informiert. Die Performance von Fonds bleibt bei diesem Rating weitgehend unberücksichtigt. Information-Rating eignet sich daher nicht als alleinige Basis für Anlageentscheidungen. Als Zusatzinformation kann das Information-Rating hilfreich sein. Weder Fonds Advice GmbH noch das Information-Rating geben Anlageempfehlungen.

Ratings für Fonds sind Änderungen unterworfen. Die Information-Rating-Bewertung eines Investmentfonds kann sich ändern. Das ist beispielsweise dann der Fall, wenn ein neuer Jahresbericht eines Fonds im Rahmen der Ratingbeurteilung zu einer abweichenden Bewertung führt. Auch andere Gründe können zu einer Veränderung der Information-Rating-Bewertung führen. Änderungen erfolgen auch ohne vorherige Ankündigung. Das Information-Rating lässt keine Prognosen zu.

Für Anlageentscheidungen und den Kauf von Investmentanteilen ist der zurzeit gültige Verkaufsprospekt des jeweiligen Fonds, die wesentlichen Anlegerinformationen, die Anlage-/Vertragsbedingungen bzw. das Verwaltungsreglement in der jeweils gültigen Fassung maßgeblich. Ergänzt wird dieser Verkaufsprospekt durch den jeweils letzten Jahresbericht. Liegt der Stichtag des Jahresberichtes länger als acht Monate zurück, wird er zusätzlich durch den Halbjahresbericht ergänzt.

Die genannten Dokumente sind insbesondere bei der Verwaltungsgesellschaft, bei den Vertriebs-, Zahl- und Informationsstellen sowie bei der Depotbank des jeweiligen Fonds erhältlich. Andere als in dem jeweiligen Verkaufsprospekt des Fonds sowie in den im Verkaufsprospekt genannten Dokumenten enthaltene und der Öffentlichkeit zugängliche Auskünfte dürfen nicht erteilt werden.

Fonds sind in aller Regel nicht in allen Ländern zum Vertrieb zugelassen. Fonds dürfen in verschiedenen Ländern nur angeboten werden, wenn hierfür eine Genehmigung der zuständigen Aufsichtsbehörde erlangt wurde.
